1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to La.Bio ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, https://la.bio, and all related services, including the creation of BioLinks, QR Codes, and ShortLinks (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

La.Bio provides users with tools to create and manage a single, customizable landing page (a "BioLink") that can host multiple links, as well as generate shortened URLs ("ShortLinks") and QR Codes. The Service also provides basic analytics regarding visitor interactions with these links.

The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce new features, including paid subscription plans, in the future. Any changes that affect your use of the Service will be communicated to you in accordance with Section 11 of these Terms.

3. User Accounts

  • Eligibility: To use our Service, you must be at least 16 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.

  • Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You may register directly or by using a third-party authentication service, such as Google.

  • Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at hi@la.bio of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for the content you post and the links you share through the Service.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. You are expressly prohibited from:

  • Illegal Content and Activities: Creating or sharing content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, harassing, hateful, violent, or that promotes illegal activities, discrimination, or harm to any individual or group.

  • Malicious and Deceptive Practices: Creating links to websites containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code. Using the Service for phishing, scams, or any form of fraudulent activity.

  • Spam: Using the Service to send unsolicited communications, promotions, or advertisements (spam).

  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Sharing content that infringes upon the copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

  • Impersonation: Impersonating another person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity.

  • System Abuse: Taking any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review any user content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Acceptable Use Policy without prior notice.

5. Content Ownership and Licenses

  • Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the content you create and upload to your La.Bio page (your text, images, and the collection of links).

  • License to La.Bio: By using the Service, you grant La.Bio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, host, display, reproduce, modify (for formatting purposes), and distribute your public content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or your account.

6. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Service allows you to create links to third-party websites, services, and content that are not owned or controlled by La.Bio. We do not endorse or assume any responsibility for any such third-party sites, information, materials, products, or services. If you access a third-party website from our Service, you do so at your own risk, and you understand that these Terms and our Privacy Policy do not apply to your use of such sites.

Our website may also display advertisements from third parties, such as Google AdSense. Your interactions with these advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

7. Termination

  • By You: You can terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings dashboard. This action is irreversible and will result in the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.

  • By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including, but not limited to, a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LA.BIO, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE AND YOUR USE THEREOF, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF THE SERVICE'S CONTENT OR THE CONTENT OF ANY SITES LINKED TO THE SERVICE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LA.BIO, ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DIRECTORS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THIS SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless La.Bio and its employees, directors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the Service; (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right.

11. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms of Service on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
